Introduction:
This directory of publications, distributed
by the Office of Research, Information and Analysis, West Virginia Bureau
of Employment Programs, has been compiled to assist those in search of
employment statistics by providing a list of available references. This
information is prepared under the several federal/state cooperative programs
within Research, Information and Analysis, which include the Covered Employment
and Wages program (ES-202 quarterly reporting system), the Current Employment
Statistics program, the Occupational Employment Statistics program, Mass
Layoff Statistics program, the Local Area Unemployment Statistics program,
and the state and local Employment Statistics program. Forthcoming in the
next year will be occupational safety statistics from the Occupational
Safety and Health Survey program. In addition, this directory lists
federal sources and publications as a supplement to the information disseminated
by this research section.
The Office of Research, Information,
and Analysis supports an extensive website which contains all of the information
listed below. it is updated regularly and is the quickest way to

A monthly newsletter of economic activity
in West Virginia, the Economic Summary includes a variety of employment
and unemployment data for the state, metropolitan areas, regions and counties.
Additional features include women's employment data, hours and earnings,
economic indicators, and data from the Bureau's Workers' Compensation,
Unemployment Compensation, and Employment Service. [LMI 135]

This annual publication contains labor
market information required by employers for completing federal and state
contract compliance regulations. Female and minority labor force data in
statewide, metropolitan statistical area, and county formats are provided.

age and sex, and occupations of applicants registered at local job service

and industry for occupational employment and wages, this is the first comprehensive
occupational/industrial wage information for West Virginia. Updated and
published annually for the state, seven metropolitan statistical areas
