I see many different types of Veteran automobile license plates - how can I find out what is available to me?
There are many license plates available to both Veterans and other special interest groups. The Iraq and Afghanistan license plates are now available. Five additional license plates are also available: The Bronze Star, Korean War Veteran, World War II Veteran, Vietnam War Veteran and Persian Gulf Veteran
Veterans desiring to receive a new plate must provide their discharge papers (DD 214) indicating service to that area along with the application. Both documents need to be submitted to a Veterans Affairs Officer for their verifying signature prior to submission to the WV DMV. More information is online at WV Division of Motor Vehicles.
